1. Distribution of Dry Ration:
Rice, Dal and Vegetables (35 kgs rice, 1 kg Dal and 5 kg Vegetables) to 14 migrant families from Chattisgarh held up at Ashram Hospital Eluru.
2. Distribution of Dry Ration
Rice, Dal, Aata, Masala packets, Cooking Oil, Potato, Onion to 272 migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh held up at Kovvur town working in sand quarry at Godavari river. Total 90 families supplied with 90 dry ration kitseach one costing about @ 1000/-. Gramodaya Trust on behalf of the State Help Line for migrant workers led by Ms Kavita Kuruganti, RSV, WASSAN and coordinated with Municipal and Revenue Departments of West Godavari District. Also helped the migrants to reach back to their native state with timely guidance.
3. Distribution of Dry Ration & Vegetable kits
Rice, Dal, Cooking Oil, Masala Packets and Vegetables to 75 migrant workers of Bihar held up at FCI Godown, Eluru, comprising25 families. Each kit valuing Rs 1000/- for family. This was coordinated by Gramodaya Trust on behalf of the State Help Line for Migrant Workers led by Ms Kavitha Kuruganti, RSV and WASSAN and we have coordinated with Revenue Department of the District Administration.
4. Distribution of Vegetable kits to poor
Gramodaya Trust has distributed about 50 vegetable kits each comprising 4 kgs of vegetables to poor in Sanivarapupeta Village, Eluru town.
5. Distribution of Food & Water Packets
We and SEVA NGO Eluru have helped migrant workers who were travelling on Eluru National High Way from Chennai, Tamilnad to Howrah (Kolkata) belonging to mostly Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar states. We have distributed them Curd Rice and water packets and also brought together many agencies which are serving migrant workers with various edible food items on the High way into a group for better coordination and sharing of information.
6. Promotion of sale of “Veggies Combo Kits” –Immunity Booster
Among the residents of Apartments and consumers in Eluru Town to help smallholder FPO farmers to sell their vegetables locally to protect from distress sale. Gramodaya Trust promoted “Haritha Mitra FPC Ltd” and “M Nagulapally Vegetable Farmer Company Ltd” these FPOs mutually collaborated sold vegetable kits through direct retailing in town during lock down period. We sold about 300 Veggies Kits and also generated bulk orders. This model of retailing to residents in the apartments during lock down has been well appreciated by the Commissioner Horticulture, State of Andhra Pradesh.
7. Distribution of Nutrition Kits
Dry Fruits, Eggs, Jaggery, Biscuits, Nuts, Lemon) – to Pregnant women of Sriparru village by our FPO Kolleru Aqua FPC Ltd, Sriparru, Supported by NABARD. 50 Pregnant women were supplied with Nutri Kits.
